This work by Lars Spuybroek and Edwin van der Heide looks pretty cool. We-Make-money-not-art.com writes:
"Whispering Garden is a synaesthetic node, short-circuiting all elements and forces that are present: connecting the wind to light, light to structure, structure to sound, sound to architecture, architecture to bodies, looping all the loops, making everything sensing everything, making everything sensuous.
I am a big fan of the landscape image interpreted through digital media. This has been a focal point of my own work and I've also been rummaging the net to explore the genre. Here are a couple of great examples:

Susan Alexis Collins: Fenlandia

Web cams slowly harvest pixels from various countryside locations. As the days and nights progress, the image records multiple layers of time in one image. http://www.susan-collins.net/fenlandia

Cory Arcangel: Clouds
A hack of the Mario Brothers Cartridge removing all elements but the drifting clouds. There is something wonderfully meaningless about the process of eliminating all functional elements from a game and revealing the simple beauty of pixilated clouds. http://www.beigerecords.com/cory/21c/21c.html
Sebastian Oschatz from the German design bureau/artist group Meso showed this project as a part of his presentation at the Generator.x conference in Oslo. Basically this installation is an augmented facade, where the audience can play with a virtual light source, which supplements the original architecture in a somewhat discrete but magical way. The project was made in connection to the Olympics in Athens 2004 and was created with the Meso's own programming environment vvvv. Check out the documentation at: http://vvvv.meso.net/tiki-index.php?page=Lightstrive and be sure to watch the video clips.

This tree is projected onto various facades and move in the wind according to the actual wind. When someone passes a leaf falls off and 'is dropped' on a location near by.
The work is done by Simon Heijdens (NL). Read more here:
