Digital Landscapes
I am a big fan of the landscape image interpreted through digital media. This has been a focal point of my own work and I've also been rummaging the net to explore the genre. Here are a couple of great examples:
Susan Alexis Collins: Fenlandia
Web cams slowly harvest pixels from various countryside locations. As the days and nights progress, the image records multiple layers of time in one image. http://www.susan-collins.net/fenlandia

Cory Arcangel: Clouds
A hack of the Mario Brothers Cartridge removing all elements but the drifting clouds. There is something wonderfully meaningless about the process of eliminating all functional elements from a game and revealing the simple beauty of pixilated clouds. http://www.beigerecords.com/cory/21c/21c.html
